A witch's daughter who is spoiled by her mother. Although Greta has a pretty face, her heart is jealous, cruel and self-serving. Her mother arranges for her to marry a widowed king, but her husband discards her when he learns she is responsible for the disappearance of his seven children. Her mother again attempts to find her a royal husband by poisoning a town's water supply and attempting to get the ruler's future bride burned at the stake, but the ploy fails and both mother and daughter are driven from the kingdom.
