Affectionately referred to as "Mu" by her classmates, Mutsumi Mutsu is presumed to have supernatural powers that allow her to make contact with heaven, hell, and dead people. In addition to this, she supposedly has the ability to erect barriers to protect herself and classmates from otherworldly spirits and forces. No student dares to stand against her out of fear of incurring her wrath. Like thus, Mutsumi Mutsu becomes queen of the classroom. Alice discovers that Mutsumi's supernatural powers are nothing more than a simple ruse supported only on the weight of cheap parlour tricks. Before Alice transferred in, Mutsumi was being bullied supposedly for sitting in Yuda's seat. However, rather than being the root cause, it likely only painted a target on her back. Mutsumi demonstrates that she possesses proficient skills to manipulate other students, but she is never seen to converse sincerely with anyone other than Alice, and only because she had uncovered her trickery. It's possible that the reason Mutsumi was actually bullied because of an inability to communicate sincerely with other people, instead hiding behind webs of lies or not conversing at all out of discomfort. Having a peculiar personality wouldn't have helped either. In a successful attempt at fleeing from her classmate's persecution, she took on the role of a vengeful spirit and escaped Yuda's seat once and for all. Through her act, Mutsumi garnered her classmate's respect and fear.
